Getting Started: Keywords Dashboard

The keywords dashboard allows you to view all the keywords your website is currently ranking for, including which page specifically is ranking for any given keyword. With the data in the keywords report, you can monitor individual keyword performance and find keyword optimization opportunities.

What You'll Find in the Keyword Dashboard

Columns

The keyword dashboard displays the following for each ranking keyword:

  • Keyword - The actual keyword phrase
  • URL - The specific page ranking for that keyword
  • Position - Your current ranking position in Google for that keyword
  • Estimated Traffic - Monthly estimated clicks from that keyword
  • Search Volume - Number of average monthly searches
  • Cost Per Click - Advertising cost to get a click for that keyword
  • Difficulty - How hard/competitive it is to rank for that keyword

Filtering

The filtering options allow you to drill down and analyze specific areas of your site:

  • Keyword - Search for a specific keyword
  • URL - View rankings for an individual page
  • Position - Filter by ranking position
  • Traffic - Filter by minimum traffic thresholds

Top 3 Ways to Use The Keywords Report:

  1. Find optimization opportunities - Filter for low-ranking or high traffic/value keywords to identify pages you can optimize content on to potentially improve rankings.
  2. Evaluate page performance - Analyze top-performing pages and keywords to prioritize optimizing the content driving the most search traffic.
  3. Monitor progress and gaps - Regularly check for ranking fluctuations, keywords you're not ranking for yet, and competitors outranking you to guide strategy and content updates that can help close gaps over time.

FAQs

Why is my keyword report empty?

If your keywords report is empty, it would indicate that your website is not actively ranking in the search results for any keywords. If your website is new, this would not be alarming and you can use the keyword research tool to find new keyword opportunities for your website. If your website should be established, look for indexation issues that might be keeping your website from being indexed and shown in the search results. Contact support if this doesn't seem to be the case!
